Specialized evaluation services for complex mobility
Wheelchair Clinic provides PT/OT evaluations for individually configured mobility equipment, complex rehabilitation technology, and seating and positioning systems. We work with ATPs and DME suppliers while maintaining independent clinical evaluation and documentation.
Complex power wheelchairs & advanced controls
Evaluation considerations may include powered mobility, drive access, alternative joystick configurations, head-array interfaces, switch access, and other specialty controls, as clinically appropriate. Equipment selection depends on individual functional needs and the prescribing and supplier teams.
Custom seating & positioning
Evaluation of customized seating, postural support, pressure-management considerations, backrests, cushions, lateral supports, positioning accessories, and seating system changes.
Active and ultralight manual wheelchairs
We also evaluate highly configurable manual mobility solutions, including active and ultralight manual wheelchairs, propulsion considerations, and individualized seating. Manual mobility is a major part of the services we want represented on this site.
Additional equipment and flexible locations
Our evaluations may cover standing frames, gait trainers, enclosed hospital beds, home modifications, and other medical equipment. Depending on availability, visits may occur at the patient’s home, physician’s office, DME location, residential facility, or coordinated supplier clinic day.
